Well, after I posted that April was grilled cheese month, my tastebuds focused on grilled cheese sandwiches.
I guess I could’ve made one as I do have some cheese here but I don’t have bread so I reasoned if I had to go out to buy bread, I may as well just go out to buy the sandwich.

Almost every time I go to Florida, I crave Cuban foods. I remember the first time we ate at Columbia in Tampa’s Yborg City. We sat outside and I don’t recall what we ate but it was marvelous. I do remember we washed it down with cafe con leche (Cuban coffee).

February is National Grapefruit Month and fresh grapefruit is plentiful. While in Florida, I ate a half of fresh grapefruit every day for breakfast and it was a wonderful treat.
Not only is grapefruit packed with vitamin C but it’s also high in potassium and low glycemic unlike an orange that will give you a sugar jolt.

I just returned from Florida and was lucky enough to return once again to Norman Love’s Chocolate Salon.
This time I had a delicious Mexican hot chocolate that went down creamy smooth as chocolate liquid silk and then ended with a kick of chili spice. It beats a damn Swiss Miss any day.
