Cindy McMahen

Hi. I am a search marketing specialist - which is how I met the other two founders of Circle of Food - who I really think are two of the most fantastic women I’ve never met (I say that because our relationship over the years has been all virtual - we’ve never seen each other actually face-to-face!). We talk often about joint projects though, also to exchange tips/strategies for our web clients. It’s great to be self employed and rewarding to help others build their business - but it isn’t always the most interesting work. (For example, how many of us really get excited about supplemental medicare plans?!)

One day one of us finally suggested - hey why don’t we become online publishers ourselves - and have some fun learning and promoting our own food blog / food site together! Thus CircleofFood was born. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy having the opportunity to produce what we want, and do some experimenting at promoting it ourselves. Also, I do enjoy food….who doesn’t? Like the web - I consider food to be the great equalizer. All of us have some fondness for a special family recipe, a memory wrapped around a food related event, or aspire to cook an awsome dish that friends or family will rave about!

More about me….I’ve been a principal of an interactive agency specializing in search marketing since 1997.  In October 2004 Nexus Interactive incorporated its search engine marketing activities into search marketing PROS, Inc. As a search marketing specialist, I’m responsible for all activities and campaigns related to client’s search marketing program, including the coordination of a team of designers, programmers, copywriters and others involved.

I’m also active in the Internet and marketing community as a member (incoming President) of the Inland Counties Chapter of the American Marketing Association (CICAMA), and member of the HTML Writers Guild and International Webmaster’s Association. I’ve taught courses in Internet marketing over seven years to thousands of individuals. I”m currently an instructor with online Internet marketing courses in Web Site Promotion and Search Engine Optimization offered through eclasses.org (BTW, Karyn helps  teach those courses too).
