In the summer, I crave beer. Nothing is as refreshing as a glass of craft-brewed beer. Two Tucson restaurants are hosting Beer Dinners and/or a series of beer dinners. Check out Noble Hops in Oro Valley and Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. If you are particularly flush — you can try both.

Noble Hops

TUCSON (July 12, 2013) — Join us for our popular monthly Beer Dinners. We pair four of Chef Angel’s delicious tasting dishes – infused and served – with four specialty brews from top craft breweries for an enjoyable evening of craft beer + fine fare!

Limited seating. $40 Per Person (not including tax or gratuity). Get your tickets in advance at Noble Hops. Noble Hops is located at 1335 W. Lambert Lane in Oro Valley, 520-797-4677.

Noble Hops/Left Hand Beer Dinner July 23, 6 p.m.

1st Course: Polestar Pilsner — Paired with bruschetta with pesto whipped chevre and tomato compote topped with chilled rosemary shrimp

2nd Course: Sawtooth Amber (Nitro) – Paired with Jamaican jerk pork and chicken wings with a shaved celery salad tossed in blue cheese vinaigrette

3rd Course: Twin Sisters Double IPA – Paired with bison burger grilled to perfection with Dublin Irish cheddar, peppered arugula and marinated heirloom tomatoes

4th Course: Black Jack Porter – Paired with delicious homemade coffee cake topped with brown sugar crumbles

“Most Interesting Beer Dinner in the World”

TUCSON, ARIZ (July 5, 2013) –  Beer lovers: prepare your taste buds for the “most interesting” beer dinner in the world!

We can’t promise an action-packed evening with high speed chases and boat explosions (as one might expect from the dinner’s name), but guests can be assured that Beverage Director/Sommelier has scoured high and low to present beers from around the globe with the most tantalizing tastes and flavors.

These exquisitely interesting beers are paired with equally intriguing creations by Cup Café chefs.

The “Most Interesting Beer Dinner is on Saturday, July 27 at 6:30 pm.  Price is $50, tax and gratuity additional.  Tickets are available online via  (some fees may apply) or by calling the hotel front desk (622-8848).
