Salmonella Cause: Jalapenos from Mexico

This is, of course, a relief to U.S. jalapeno growers.
So far 1,300 people have been sickened by salmonella food poisoning.
When buying jalapenos at the market, you an always ask the produce manager where they come from. However, when eating at a restaurant or picking up already prepared food — that’s a crapshoot.
When in doubt, don’t.
