This is late to the show but ... on three different occasions, Food Network shows have featured John Besh and introduced him as "The Next Iron Chef" winner. Also, before the end of the show, Chef Besh was using the title on his advertising in New Orleans. So what happened? Is it possible that he decided after the winner was chosen but before the air date that he couldn't meet the commitments of Iron Chef? The most recent example of the outing was on the re-broadcast of Challenge - Seafood which was held last year in New Orleans. Chef Besh was a judge. Does anyone have the skinny?

Awesome.

As a former Ohioan (Youngstown) -- I'm proud as punch.

Next time I go back, I'm going to Lola/Lolita

Patty, Thanks so much for posting!

Symon rocks! As a fellow Clevelander, I know how amazing his cuisine is. What a genius! And he gave Cleveland a win to be proud of!!! Our baseball team (& football team) need(s) to take their cues from Chef Symon.
And he is so REAL, so unpretentious. And such an inspired palate!
Keep hitting the high notes, Chef & Mrs. Chef. We of Cleveland love you & salute you! God bless you, Lola/Lolita!

Marie Nicholas, our new guest blogger, told me that she personally knows the chef from Cleveland. She's new to blogging, but I'll try to get her to post something.

Rita,
That is probably true that they bring back some of the failed chefs as judges. They would do that on that reality show with Donald Trump -- I can't remember what it was called.

So since you have been watching it every week -- who are you going to put the money on?

Anyone else who has been watching and wants to chime in and why?

Oh no, not new surpeise guest judges?
I love Michael Ruhlman! Andrew Knowlton can leave anytime. And Donatella, she's one shatp cookie!
I bet the judges are some of the other chefs or at least the other Iron Chefs - Mario, Bobby, Cat Cora and Marimoto.
