Painter’s Birthday Party

Painter belonged to Karyn Zoldan and he had a birthday party when he turned 5, 10, and 12. The first two birthday parties included dogs and their people with treats and games for the dogs.
His last birthday party at age 12 (he died at 12 1/2) was for people only.
Painter loved to open the presents and was such a good host.
Similarly, I was walking in my neighborhood and came across a neighbor walking her two dogs — one dog had a beret hat on with a scarf. I commented on it and she said that it was his birthday.
I don’t have any pets now but grew up with them on a farm — although we didn’t pamper them like people do today. It is hard for me to see myself doing something like this, but I must admit that it added a bit of sunshine to my day just to see it.
