		<description>I think I am the only person on the planet that has never eaten a Peep.   My mother never bought them for our Easter baskets when we were growing up.  In fact, I didn't know what they were until I saw some in my nieces' Easter baskets about 10 years ago. 

Peeps certainly are a phenomena though.  

I think it is fascinating how new traditions are formed and how quickly they are adopted.  Just look at the "green bean casserole", "honey-baked spiral hams",  "hanging plastic Easter eggs on trees outside in your yard" -- we never did any of this when I was growing up in the 60's.</description>
