Another year, another Super Bowl Sunday, this time two Midwest teams duke it out on the field.

Undoubtedly, there will be many Super Bowl events across this nation. Many of these events will involve cocktails made with vodka.

Here are some ideas to match your celebrations with your team’s colors. The Indianapolis Colts’ colors are true blue and white and the Chicago Bears’ colors are orange and navy blue < ---ugly. 

UV Vodka beholds the solution to the color conundrum. They have blue vodka, orange vodka, and vanilla vodka. They have purple vodka too which might lean closer to navy blue.

Here are a few vodka drink recipes for your Super Bowl festivities:

Vanilla Iced Tea -  Go Colts!

1 part UV Vanilla
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part 7-UP or Sprite
2 parts lemon juice
Serve over ice in a highball glass
Creamsicle - Go Bears!

1 part UV Orange
1 part cream
1 part triple sec
1 part orange juice
Serve over ice in a lowball glass

Blue Frost - Personally, I find blue drinks somewhat circumspect. Reminds me of those blue popsicles that had no taste and turned our tongues blue.

1 part UV Blue
1 part raspberry sherbet
1 part lemon-lime soda
Serve over ice in a lowball glass  

If I Karyn ruled the world, not only would there be the Super Bowl but equal time would be placed on activities for Super Bowl “widows”. I would like to see women everywhere who couldn’t care less about sports (or football games in particular) celebrate by going to spas and salons and get pampered where they could drink champagne that didn’t have to match their nail polish and eat dark chocolate.

Women: In case you haven’t figure it out yet, Super Bowl Sunday is the best day to go shopping. The stores are empty and sales are great. Also Super Bowl Sunday is another good day to go to a movie that has been sold out. There will be no lines at the movie. Get a bunch of women friends together and go out for brunch, volunteer walking dogs at a kennel or rescue (or not), and go to the movies. Treat yourself luxuriously all day long.
