Two of my favorite things - food and film - delightfully collide when the second annual Slow Food Tucson Film Festival happens January 12-14, 2007 with classic food films paired with the best of dining.

Activities begin at Elle A Wine Country Restaurant with a special multi-course dinner to reflect the film Chocolat, The movie starring the ravenously delicious Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche will be screened after dinner at Crossroads Cinema.

Saturday brings a southwestern brunch at J-Bar (the more playful side of four-diamond Janos); then it’s off to Pima Community College West Campus Center for new filmmaker films plus the documentary Buffet:  All You Can Eat Las Vegas.

At 5 p.m. Acacia at St. Philips recreates the famous French meal from Babette’s Feast (sold out!); the movie will be screened at Crossroads Cinema at 8 p.m. You can still view the movie without eating the actual meal.

The Festival continues on Sunday at Sakura Teppan Steak and Sushi restaurant for a celebration of traditional Japanese food before the screening of cult film, Tampopo. For prices, deals, and details, check out Slow Food Tucson.

Two of my favorite things are chocolate and Johnny Depp. A chocolate covered Johnny Depp would be the sexiest thing in the whole world…a true aphrodisiac.

Chocolat was a very sexy film. Oh, Netflix…
