Dine on Your Corner: Donate, Remember, Embrace

This is so Tucson which is one of the reasons I like living here.  Who can forget that nightmare of a travesty?

Tucson —Monday, January 8th marks the 7th anniversary of the tragedy that shook Southern Arizona and our nation when former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ “Congress on your Corner” event was interrupted by a gunman that took the lives of six and wounded 13 others.

In conjunction with the dedication ceremony that morning, the following 13 Tucson restaurants have graciously agreed to donate a percentage of sales that day to Tucson’s January 8th Memorial.

The restaurants which span around Tucson are:  Bentley’s House of Coffee & Tea, Brother John’s BBQ, Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails, Eclectic Café, Frost Gelato, Kingfisher Bar & Grill, Mama’s Hawaiian BBQ, Reilly’s Craft Pizza & Drink, Senae Thai Bistro, Sundance Café at Hilton Conquistador, The Shanty, Sunrise Café and Zinburger.

  1. Thanks for sharing this, Karyn! My dh and I went to Bentley’s for breakfast this morning. Good food and a good feeling. We hadn’t been there in years! So it is also good marketing for these generous local restaurants.
