Admit it…you’re a last-minute shopper. Here are a few of my favorite things and maybe they’ll be yours too.

Almost all restaurants have gift cards and if you buy enough gift cards…many restaurants will be give you a bonus gift card.  Think Downtown Kitchen, Sauce Pizza and Wine, Kingfisher, Fox Restaurant Concepts and more.

Need stocking stuffers? The various farmers markets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will have plenty of wares that qualify like plants, potions, lotions, freshly roasted coffee, olive oil, jams and jellies…make your own seasonal fruit basket, etc.

bath bombs

Looking for fragrant bath bombs and vegan nail polish? This mad scientist makes her products in Tucson not China. You can find Pure Poetry at the St. Philips Farmers Market.

Support a local jeweler who was voted Best Jewelry Store in Best of Tucson this year – Silver Sea Jewelry. The store has an eclectic mix of jewelry, much originally designed and some enthrall the mermaid in you.

Drink Arizona wine. You can find it at Whole Foods, Plaza Liquors and a number of wine tasting venues like Sand-Reckoner on 6th Street and Flying Leap in St. Philips Plaza.

Tucson Roadrunner tickets are the perfect gift for hockey fans. Did you know the Roadrunners and Tucson Electric Power got together with Pima Animal Care Center to create a calendar whose sales benefit PACC’s medical fund? What a great idea!

beading divas bracelets

Beading Divas bracelets are perfect for the animal loving fashionista on your list. The sale of every one-of-a-kind beaded bracelet benefits a different animal charity every month. Shop online or at Silver Sea Jewelry and Clues Unlimited Book Store.

Speaking of Clues, for people who like to read mysteries, Clues Unlimited is like a candy store.

Other favorites are Loft Cinema gift cards, Native Seeds/SEARCH for indigenous products/spices/seeds, The Screamery for ice cream made from grass-fed cows with flavors that pop, a prepaid pass on the modern street car, or what about membership to Tucson Museum of Art or Tucson Botanical Gardens; a day in Southern Arizona’s wine country.
