Hey Tucson, are you thirsty? You look thirsty. How about some craft beer and a delicious snack at Sentinel Peak Brewing Company on Sunday, November 12 from 3 to 5 pm? Drink beer for Sips for Seniors.
One dollar from every pint of beer will be donated to sponsor senior pets at Pima Animal Care Center. November is National Adopt a Senior Pet Month. The event is hosted by SavetheSaveable.com/No Kill Pima County.
Younger dogs and cats seem to be more popular but consider those oldies but goodies who have grown to their full size, probably have house manners, still need to go for a walk every day just like you do, and want to be your new best friend.
And if you can’t be there to drink beer and chow down, consider making a donation to sponsor a senior pet. A Tucson Tail blog kicked off the campaign with a $500 donation and people just like you have enriched the pot.
A special thank you to Baja Café for their generous donation; apparently, they have a soft spot for senior pets. And congratulations to Baja Café who will be opening their third location, this one in Marana. Baja Café has the best breakfasts in Tucson.
Also on Sunday at Sentinel Peak, there will be senior dog adoptions on the patio and a chance to win a one awesome mega raffle prize with items donated by Trader Joe’s, The Joint Chiropractor, Chuze Fitness, Petsmart gift card donated by Marcie Pearson, Roadhouse Cinemas, Clues Unlimited Mystery Bookstore, Beading Divas Bracelets, artistic tile by Jen Dragonfly Creations, gift cards to Chipotle and Sentinel Peak Brewery/donated by Circle of Food, and gift certificate for spa pedicure donated by House Family/Nails Rap III.
Bring your friends to 4746 E. Grant Road, plenty of free parking. See you there!
