While Circle of Food loved its previous incarnation, are you as curious as I am to see how the HUB has been updated?
Downtown hotspot, HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery, will reopen to the public on August 25 after undergoing renovations for the summer. The renovations include updated interiors and a new private dining room that will be available for private events.
“We are so grateful for the guests who have embraced HUB as part of their downtown experience. We want to take this opportunity to say thank you,” said Sandy Ford, Director of Operations for HUB.
HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery opened downtown in February 2011, sparking a trend of restaurant, retail and other business openings that now includes over 80 establishments. Sister nightclub Playground Bar and Lounge opened in January 2012 followed by standalone HUB Ice Cream Factory in May 2015 and Martin Drug Co. in Feb 2017. All four businesses are owned by developer Scott Stiteler, Rudy Dabdoub and partners.
The AC Hotel Tucson by Marriott, another project from the same ownership group, will open in September 2017.
HUB will resume lunch and dinner service starting on August 25, with brunch resuming on August 26. In an effort to continue thanking Tucson for its support, HUB will be giving away their popular home-made ice cream to guests with purchase of entree from August 25 – 27.
HUB sister business, Playground Bar and Lounge, will continue to operate as a pop-up out of Martin Drug Co (see hours) as renovations continue at its original location.
