Break all the rules! Currently, with two locations in the Phoenix area, Culinary Dropout is the Fox Restaurant Concepts’ “rebel child” that breaks all the rules with its uniform-free staff and relaxed, soulful ambiance. Featuring amped-up appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees, along with an antipasti menu showcasing delicious and hard-to-find meats, cheeses and vegetables. Chill and enjoy the outdoor patio and live music performed a few nights each week. Culinary Dropout is also a day-drinking and late-night destination with two-thirds of the menu dedicated to beer, wine and distinctive cocktails.

Sam Fox (Fox Culinary Concepts) grew up in Tucson and remembers knowing there was something cool about the Grant Road Lumber Yard. So cool in fact that he will preserve the iconic neon “Grant Road Lumber Yard” sign as a nod to the rich history of the space. Construction is under way at the restaurant and it is on track to open this September on the NE corner of Grant Rd. and Tucson Blvd.

The 20,000 square foot restaurant will feature a full dining room and bar, a Yard gaming area, as well as The Coop, a 150-person private dining and event space.

Two additional Culinary Dropout locations in Arizona were recently recognized in Open Table’s Top 100 Hot Spots, a list based on more than 10 million restaurant reviews for more than 25,000 different restaurants, for showcasing lively ambiances, interactive experiences, live entertainment and diverse menus.
