Once again Tucson’s restaurants show us their altruism.
Ain’t to Proud to Beg
Team Up for Tucson (TUFT) and Sullivan’s Steakhouse team up to raise funds to buy Animal Resuscitation Kits for Pima County first responders. Thousands of pets die every year because of smoke inhalation.
Enjoy red and white wines paired with appetizers (vegetarian options available). There will be a silent auction emceed by John Overall/KVOA. Items include private flights in a bi-plane, resort stays, and more.
Tickets cost $35 at TeamUpforTucson.com or by calling 520-303-2167.
Help support this wonderful cause!
Last year TUFT raised money to buy bullet proof vests for every dog that joined the Tucson Police Department. TUFT’s funds also help shelter animals in need of emergency medical care.
Sullivan’s is located at 1785 E. River Road.
Beer for Helmets
Barrio Brewing Co. will soon be donating $9,000 for the purchase of three dozen 5 Star Football helmets for the Badger’s football team at Tucson High. The money will be raised through the purchase of the limited-edition run of Tucson Badger Blonde craft beer. (Wow! Football helmets are expensive!)
Dennis Arnold, publican and master brewer at Barrio, and his team are producing a limited-edition run of their ever-popular Barrio Blonde. But for this fundraiser, they are labeling it Tucson Badger Blonde.
Dennis will donate 100% of sales to the T-Club, Tucson High School’s booster club who will in turn purchase the necessary equipment.
So to help with this fun fundraising project, go to Barrio Brewing at 800 E. 16th Street @ Toole and buy by the case (24 cans).
You have all hot summer long to consume this beer for a cause.
