To coincide with World Fair Trade 2015 Food Conspiracy Co-op is hosting Exo Roast Co. for a conversation on direct fair and ethical coffee sourcing. Join Doug Smith, green coffee sourcer and roaster at Exo Roast Co., as he shares slides and stories from a recent coffee sourcing trip to Mexico. Find out about plans for Exo Roast Co., and after the talk enjoy a tasting. Cost: FREE but RSVP required. The class is held at the Hoff Building behind the Co-op at 425 E. 7th Street. RSVP
May 16-17, Willcox Wine Country Festival
70 wines from 17 wineries will be poured
Willcox is only a one hour drive east of Tucson on I-10 (and a few degrees cooler too).
The Willcox Wine Country Festival is a two-day fun-filled event at historic Railroad Park in downtown Willcox.
Admission to the Willcox Wine Festival is FREE – to listen to live music and browse vendor and wine booths without charge as well as the downtown shops and more.
The wine tasting event costs $25.
There are two Willcox wine festivals each year. The spring wine festival is held on the third weekend in May and the fall festival is on the 3rd weekend in October.

11 AM to 1:45 PM – Josh & Nicki (classic rock, original folk rock)
2 to 5 PM – The Sonoran Dogs (bluegrass, country-rock)
Live Music on Sunday, May 17
11 AM to 1:45 PM – Professor James & Doctor T (classic rock, blues, roots rock)
2 to 5 PM. – Buzz & The Soul Senders (“soul-soaked blues”)
The Willcox Historic Theater will host ‘Wine is Fun – Willcox Wine Talks’ featuring seminars about growing grapes and enjoying wine on Saturday starting at 2 PM.

May 16 – Arizona Bacon Fest
All things bacon (not for vegetarians) and plenty of beer will entertain the troops (that’s you) at Kino Park Stadium starting 6 PM. Leave the kids and dogs at home too (must be 21).
Local music, local chefs and lots of beer will be on hand at the third annual fest. Check out the website for ticket sales and particulars. Ticket sales benefit two local charities: Sun Sounds of Arizona and La Frontera Arizona.
