Tucson, Ariz—-On March 25th, Chef Ryan Clark and Chef de Cuisine Brandon Dillon of Agustin Kitchen, traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to represent the US and participate in the 2015 Thai Culinary World Challenge. Ten teams of chefs from around the world competed in a lively culinary challenge on March 28 and 29.
On day one the team prepared three dishes , soup, appetizer and entrée from their country of origin. On day two they all prepared a similar meal, hot soup, herbal salad and a curry dish using the ingredients and traditions of Thailand.
Winners were announced at the end of the final challenge – and the talented team from Agustin was thrilled to be awarded 2nd place
Chef Clark was invited last year to participate, and enjoyed the trip so much, he jumped at the chance when invited to participate again this year. “The experience of working with beautiful fresh ingredients in another country is a new challenge and great fun for us. It’s a unique experience to learn and expand flavor profiles in exciting new directions which I am sure will end up on the Agustin Kitchen menu. Winning this year was just an added bonus to a great trip,” said Chef Clark.
