Every restaurant worth its finishing salts will be having some kind of Valentine’s Day Night extravaganza and hopefully you already made a reservation because there’s nothing worse than dining at 4:30 or 10:30 unless of course, you work until 10 PM. Acacia offers two nights of romantic dinners so if you cannot get a good reservation for Saturday, say you wanted to beat the crowd and celebrate earlier on Friday the 13th.
So, how did you two meet? That question always seems to loom large on everyone’s mind. North Italia wants to hear your love story. Follow the link and tell North Italia how you met the love of your life. You will then be entered to win a romantic dinner for two at North Italia on Feb. 21.
If money is no object consider the Valentine’s weekend at the Ritz-Carlton in Dove Mountain where couples may raise the (chocolate) bar with all things chocolate in the chocolate lounge, couple’s fondue, artful canvases painted in chocolate by the resort chefs, sushi Love Rolls, and take home Love Bars to enjoy plus overnights of stargazing and rose petals.
This Valentine’s Day celebrate at USA Today’s #1 Most Romantic Hotel in Tucson: Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is offering an exquisite four-course dinner at the Flying V, a Champagne and Rose Manicure and Pedicure and and Heart Full Body Glaze at Lakeside Spa and a special Valentine’s Day tennis clinic. Don’t forget to try the “shots of love” which are better than chocolate dipped strawberries.
50 Shades of What the Grey Hell
Circle of Food hopes the controversial movie is better than the book. However, I think some of the scenes should come with a note that says, “Don’t try this at home.” There’s been so much promotion of this film, I cannot imagine it will live up to the hype. Fandango has sold out in many cities so you may have to wait a few days for the wave of enthusiasm to pass or just read the reviews and opt out.
Consider going to the Loft Cinema to see a classic romantic movie, Casablanca…it has more staying power than Mr. Grey.
