Tucson, Ariz– Philanthropy never tasted so good! Each fall, Chef/owners Jim “Murph” Murphy and Jeff Azersky kick off the season with a donation to the Community Food Bank from the Bluefin Lobsterfest Summer Special. This year, they sent a total of $1601 from the 1601 guests over the summer who requested their lobster be de-shelled for $1.
Oysterfest is just around the corner at Kingfisher. The fifth annual celebration of all things oyster will take place on Saturday, November 8 from 10 AM to 2 PM. Guests can enjoy over a dozen different varieties of oysters on the half shell from regions including the Pacific, Pacific Northwest, Gulf, the mid-and north Atlantic. Varieties of oysters have been expanded this year to include some from the East Coast that are unique. In addition to oysters on the half shell, other specials include oyster stew, baked oysters and clam chowder. A limited lunch menu will also be offered.
And just off the trail from a wonderful summer Road Trip, the fall menus at both restaurants kick off this month. New items on the menu at Kingfisher include Lobster Bisque, Roasted Vegetable-Prosciutto Salad, Lamb Shanks, Fennel Coriander Crusted Scottish Salmon, Duck Cooked 2 Ways, Chocolate Mocha Raspberry Cake, Jack Daniel’s Pecan Pie and more. At Bluefin, fall offerings include Roasted Tomato Mushroom Soup, Grilled Shrimp Chopped Salad, Green Chile Pork Stew, Grilled Sea Scallops, Dutch Apple Spice Cake and more.
Also at Bluefin, this is the ideal time of year to enjoy happy hour daily from 4:30-6:30 PM in the beautiful indoor/outdoor patio. On Tuesday nights, bottles of wine are 1/2 price (excluding those on the limited list).
Kingfisher Bar & Grill is located at2564 E Grant Road has been serving award -winning cuisine drawn from a wide variety of American regional influences, highlighting seafood , grilled meats and poultry dishes for 20 years. Kingfisher is open for lunch, dinner, and late night; Monday thru Friday from 11am to 3 for lunch, 3 to 5 for “late menu”, Happy hour (in the bar only) from 4:30-6:30pm Monday thru Friday and 5-6:30pm Saturday and Sunday; dinner from 5 to10pm and late night from 10pm to midnight.
