Kale seems to be the “it” super food these days. Kale appears grilled, in salads, soups, juices, chips, desserts, and everything in between.

Popeye used to eat his spinach (another hard sell). One has to wonder how he would feel about kale. Is any super hero running to devour this super food?

And just how long will kale be hailed as a super food? We’re a fickle society always looking for the next big thing.

Dr. Drew Ramsey MD,  an expert in brain health and co-founder of National Kale Day,  advises that kale is packed with high nutrient density and culinary versatility yet here are his picks for more super foods which may even surpass the leafy lofty kale:

–Artisanal yogurt
–Maple water
–Small potatoes
–More kale
