Take a short drive out of Tucson this Saturday, Feb. 9 (unless of course if you are going to the 4th Avenue Trunk Show dressed in Steam Punk finery) and check out these two fun events in Sonoita and Willcox.

Visitors who cannot go back East because of the weather…this is a perfect diversion for you. The terrain in So. AZ looks nothing like Tucson even though the drive is only about 60-75 minutes away.

Hops & Vines début Drag Queen: The hops-infused, carbonated wine in a beer bottle! (What a concept!) To celebrate there will be a Drag Queen race, a live DJ, beers from Dragoon Brewing Co., and wine from Burning Tree Cellars. Anyone can run! Show up in drag, ready to run, for a free glass and tasting! Can people run in stilettos?  The race happens around noon.

$20 for 10 drink tickets plus a Hops & Vines glass. (I love my Hops & Vines glass.)

A portion of proceeds go to Precious Life Shelter for expecting moms.

At Coronado Vineyards, indulge in the 7th annual Wine & Chocolates from 11 am to 4 pm. Five wines will be paired with five delicious Moonstruck chocolate truffles.

The cost is just $15 per person and includes a commemorative glass. No reservations are required.

Coronado Vineyards teamed up with the American Heart Association and will be holding a silent auction from 11 am to 3:30 pm to raise money for this wonderful organization.
