Here’s another shining example of how Tucson’s business community helps those in need.

Tucson, Ariz—- The holidays in Tucson wouldn’t be the same without Mr An’s Annual Turkey Drive for the Community Food Bank.  Beginning at 7 am on Friday, December 14, Mr An and friends will be outside the front of Mr An’s on Oracle at Oracle and Rudasill Roads, throughout the day, inspiring everyone to stop in, drop off their turkey, ham or cash donations.  Cash donations are best – the Food Bank’s wholesale purchasing power helps stretch each dollar more than ten times.

Vowing to beat last year’s take  Mr. An,  along with KOLD and Nova Financial,  will once again pull out all the stops and do whatever it takes to reach his goal in providing turkeys for Tucson’s neediest families.  The goal this year is to provide holiday meals for 20,000 people.

Known for his tireless efforts to make life better for so many in our community, Mr. An is one of Tucson’s most generous benefactors.  His year round support of countless causes includes Tu Nidito, American Heart Association and Tucson Girls Chorus, to name a few.   As a long time member of the board of the Community Food Bank, he is passionate in his desire to make sure there is always a supply of food for those who need it.  “I have been working on the Turkey Drive for over 10 years…and each year, the need seems to grow larger, so it is deeply important to me that we meet our goals.  I hope that those who can, will come forward and join me in this effort.”

Mr An’s Turkey Drive will officially kick off on Monday, December 10.  Throughout the week,  Mr An’s on Oracle as well as An Del Sol and Nova Financial locations will be available for drop off of all donations, with the drive culminating in a big final push on Friday as KOLD’s Chief Meteorologist Chuck George joins Mr An from 1 pm thru the 6 pm news broadcast.  For more information visit Tucson News Now  or call  Jack Parris at the Community Food Bank at 882-3287.

An additional drop off location has been graciously offered by Sam Levitz at the Levitz warehouse location at 3430 E 36th Street.

Mr An and his wife Christina own the An Restaurant Group in Tucson, AZ,  which includes Mr An’s Teppan, Steak and Sushi; An Del Sol; and FrozAN at Casino del Sol Resort, and the Food Court at Casino of the Sun.
