Bring a new unwrapped gift on Wednesday, Dec. 12  from 11 am – 3 pm— you will receive a discount of 50% off of one of their delicious salads or sandwiches. Cafe a la Cart is located on the grounds of the Tucson Museum of Art (no admission into the restaurant). If you have never been to Cafe a la Cart, you’re in for culinary treat. You must have dessert too!

Café a la Cart is a huge supporter of La Paloma Family Services and wanted to make a difference in the lives of foster children in Pima County.  Right now the system is overwhelmed with foster children, with over 12,000 children currently waiting for adoption in Arizona.  Currently, La Paloma Family Services is the largest foster care agency in Pima County.

“This Toy Drive is a way to build a brighter future for children in need. We are honored to partner with Café Ala C’Art on Wednesday, Dec 12 to raise awareness for foster children and gather much needed gifts”, said Angy Shearer, Director of Fund Development.

La Paloma Family Services, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, dedicated to building relationships and support services to encourage, teach and challenge children and families to take effective control of their lives.  The program consists of five youth homes, regular and therapeutic foster care, college prep program, and facilitates adoptions.

Why not make a day of it? Enjoy the exhibits and the Museum, shop in the artfully stocked gift store, eat lunch at Cafe a la Cart, and bring an unwrapped toy (or toys) to help foster children around Christmas. Share this with your friends and co-workers.
