Tucson Wine: CataVinos 5th Anniversary Party – Sept. 22

Congratulations to Yvonne Foucher, the owner of CataVinos Wine Shoppe in Midtown. Today she celebrates her 5th anniversary as a locally-owned wine store and wine tasting venue. It can’t be easy in this economy to compete with multiple big box chains selling wine.

What makes the CataVinos experience unique is that Yvonne and her tasters sample every bottle of wine in the store so they know and appreciate the nuances of each sauvignon blanc and red varietal. Most bottles of wines cost $15 or less but some cost more especially, Arizona wines.

What many people don’t know about Yvonne is that she loves her community and makes it easy for non-profit organizations to use the store as a fundraising venue. Or you can have parties and events here and not have to clean up afterward. I had a birthday party here a few years back and my friends are still talking about it.

For the 5th Anniversary party, think like a wine industry professional. Wine distributors will be on hand pouring 50 samples (please pace yourself) plus every bottle in the store will be 10% off! That’s some party both in the store and under the big tents outside. The cost is $18/pp.

Come early and bring your oenophile friends to 3063 N. Alvernon Way from 2 to 6 pm. Cheers to another 5 years.
