Finally. The Hibachi Super Buffet opened. It’s been coming soon for at least a year. The odd thing is with all the vacant restaurants here in Tucson, one has to wonder why the Hibachi Super Buffet redid a factory outlet store where nothing was over $9.99.
Whatever they did, they did it well as the restaurant has no leftover vibes from the factory outlet.
I peeked in tonight and the place is huge with lots of seating and great spread of food — sushi, fruit, desserts, salad bar, side dishes, seafood, pizza, and much more. The flyer says Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, and wholesome American cuisines.
However, the main attraction is the hibachi style grill with a large selection of meats, vegetables, seafood, and noodles.
Lunch is served Mon – Sat from 11 to 3:30; adults-$6.99. Dinner is served Mon-Sat starting at 3:30 and Sunday, dinner is served all day. Dinner costs $9.99/adults.
Hibachi Super Buffet is located at 4629 E. Speedway Blvd. right next to Weight Watchers. That could be problematic for some. It’s located in the Sprouts (formerly Sunflower Market) shopping center. Bushi, another restaurant, is on the east side of the parking lot.
