Tucson: Live Dessert Auction – March 31

One of my favorite events is “A Very Special Horse Event” – a fundraiser for Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary. I’m not a horse person and neither do you have to be in order to appreciate all the hard work and creativity that goes into this event.

What makes me come back year after year is the live Dessert Auction. Seeing is believing. This fun segment of the event makes your mouth water and your jaw drop when you not only see the wonderful decadent desserts but also when you watch and hear how competitively people bid on them.

One year, Lovin’ Spoonfuls vegan chocolate cake sold for $450!  However, cakes & pies have sold in the thousands. Imagine that.
