Unlike the rest of the country when summer means grilling anything and everything, in Tucson it’s just too darn hot to fire up the charcoal grill. So when I received several packets of Fleischmann’s Pizza Crust Yeast along with recipes for pizza on the grill I opted out of the grilling part and just make some pizza indoors.
We make a lot of pizza in my house, but even after all these years I have trouble getting the dough to stretch evenly and I always have to patch holes here and there.
But this didn’t happen with the specially designed yeast. The dough looked and acted like the dough you see being tossed in the air at your local pizzeria. What fun!
Plus it held up nicely under the toppings: a meaty sauce, lots of cheese and roasted red pepper.
This will be my go to yeast from now on (especially once the weather cools down and we fire up the grill.)
