Every year Cook for the Cure, presented by KitchenAid, raises funds for breast cancer with parties held all over the country. Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southern Arizona, in association with Tucson Originals and TWS Premium Appliance Center, is joining in the fun with a 4-hour celebration of fine food and wine July 21.
The evening will include cooking demos from some of Tucson’s top chefs, a tasting of select wines, and free entry into a drawing for KitchenAid appliances (pink mixers!). The event marks the kick-off of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southern Arizona Cool Off With Komen campaign, a summer-long series of indoor happenings to help supporters beat the summer heat.
“We are thrilled to be co-hosting this event, and it’s a great fit. My aim for Komen SAZ is that’s it’s about good fun as well as good health and raising much-needed funds for breast cancer. This – with the help of Tucson Originals and TWS Premium Appliance Center – marks a step in that direction,” said Jaimie Leopold, executive director at Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southern Arizona.
