As I mentioned in my last post, I love getting food in the mail. These days all it takes is a couple of clicks and in a few days there is a package filled with goodies at your door.

I’ve ordered mail food for years but recently I’ve become a regular at several great food websites.

One of my ultimate favorites is Fratelli Carli, an Italian based online store that features olive oil and other Italian specialties. They’ve been in business for 100 years, so that tells you something.

I regularly order the six pack of Extra Virgin olive oil, which costs me a little over $10.00 per 16.9 fluid ounces – a good deal in my opinion since I use so much of it.

Other favorites include a ultra tasty walnut sauce. I’ve never had anything like it. One 4.5 ounce jar is ideal for a pound of pasta and makes an quick and most satisfying dinner. You do have to buy four jars though so it is a bit pricey, but the stuff is well worth it.

I also love the artichoke dip; it’s addicting spread on a hunk of good Italian bread (okay I’ll fess up, I can eat it by the spoonful.)

Right now there is a box of amaretto cookies in the cupboard just calling my name.

We also use the olive oil soap. It smells great, keeps the skin silky and smooth and the bars last longer than most store bought stuff.

Time was when ordering from them took forever but they’ve updated the service and things arrive in a timely manner.

I’ve yet to try their peppers, pastas, olives, other pasta sauces or balsamic vinegar, but with the success I’ve had with all the other products it is just a matter of time.
