Tavolino: Tucson restaurant gives back to recent shooting victims
from the press release
Tavolino has just announced that they will host two fundraising events in support of the victims of the recent Tucson shootings.
On Feb 7 and 8, all happy hour proceeds will be donated to victim funds.
The shooting in the Safeway shopping center on January 8 struck a chord with the owner and employees of Tavolino. Before moving to their new location on Skyline and Campbell, the Safeway shopping center at Ina and Oracle was their home for seven years.
“The Safeway shopping center is where we got our start. We felt a sense of community with the other businesses and patrons of the center,” said Tavolino owner Massimo Tenino. “We wanted to do something to pay our respects to the victims and their families.”
Tavolino invites the public to enjoy their happy hour and to give to a very special cause. On Feb. 7 from 3 pm – 7 pm, 100% of the happy hour proceeds will be donated to the Victims fund. On Feb 8 from 3 pm – 7pm, 100% of the happy hour proceeds will be donated to the Christina Taylor Green fund.
Happy Hour will be hosted at the bar and on the patio only. In addition to their new Happy Hour menu, they offer half off wines by the glass, $3 beers, and $5 well drinks.
Tavolino is located at 2890 E. Skyline Dr., on the Southwest corner of Skyline and Campbell. Tavolino is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday beginning at 11 am and offers happy hour from 3 – 7 pm. A private dining room is available for special events as well as a Chef’s table for up to 14 guests. (520) 531-1913.
