World of Chocolate
At Hacienda Del Sol, Pastry Chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph presents an evening of delectable chocolates paired with wines and cocktails from Sommeliers Andrew Record and Jon Herrera for $25.00 per person. The dessert tasting will be split up into three sections: milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate. (I hope they end with dark chocolate.)
As Tavel discusses the different tastes and textures for each type of chocolate, each chocoholic will receive three dessert samples of that particular kind of chocolate so there will be nine desserts total. Each type of dessert will be paired with either wine or a cocktail.
Forget about dinner; this event starts at 6 p.m. Reservations required by calling 520-299-1501.
Dog Friendly Dining
When the weather cools off in the evening (hopefully soon), you and your well-behaved best friend (your dog) and your other best friend can head to Delectables on 4th Avenue for a delicious dinner. Yes, dogs are allowed on the patio.
Also at Delectables, but not on the patio, is an Arizona wine tasting on July 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Sample six wines from Rancho Rossa Vineyards of Elgin for $10/person. Support a local restaurant and a local vineyard. Where else can dogs accompany people on the patio in Tucson?
