Tucson restaurant news and more…

Coming soon: 47 Scott
According to something I just got on Facebook about Downtown 2nd Saturday, 47 Scott will be open this Saturday, May 8. You can view the construction and design process here. I look forward to viewing the menu next.

Shameless self promotion
Oh hell why not? Read my latest print article in the summer edition of Tucson Home. The article is called Traveler’s Pantry and I write on about some of the local international food markets. In the print issue, there’s a recipe too.

Dumbing down on Mother’s Day
Not to discount mothers, but what if you don’t have a mother living in Tucson but still want to go out on that day but not to a pricey brunch or dinner? What’s open with business as usual? A few of my fab friends and I are going to see the Mother’s Day movie at the Loft (they don’t check your I.D. for motherhood) and sip some mom-o-sas in the theatre but want to go out for a late lunch afterwards. Please suggest some affordable ideas.

Musical Mothers
Here’s something fun and you can take your mom or just a bunch of friends…it’s free; bring a picnic dinner…check out the schedule for the Tucson Pops.

  1. Nice article in Tucson Home, Karyn. I’m eager to try 47 Scott and almost planned to go there on Tuesday to check it out as a possible Edie’s Eats pick but we — the bossman and I — decided to wait until it had a chance to iron out some kinks.
