Sustainable Fish Made Easy
What’s a fish lover to do? What’s the best fish and seafood to eat that is good for you and for the ocean too? Martin Reed, a 2007 UA graduate started I Love Blue Sea (rhymes with I Love Lucy) as a way of helping puzzled wannabe pescetarians decipher sustainable seafood. Whether you live in Tucson, Trenton, or Toledo or elsewhere…sustainable seafood can be at your doorstep in a day. Read my Tucson Citizen article.

Dine Out for Safety in Arizona – April 21
Once again Arizona restaurateurs reach out to help a local non profit organization, SACASA, Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault and Arizona Children’s Association. Formerly a Tucson event only, it has now spread to Phoenix, Yuma, and Prescott. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Pie Party Crumbs
The Pie Party 2010 came and went but not before serving more than 200 pies! According to the pie organizers, there was an amazing diversity of uniquely gorgeous hand-crafted pies all in one place! It was a sight to behold. What a task for the judges. $3,750 was raised for Desert Harvesters. Congratulations! They still have t-shirts for sale for $10. I love grassroots successes like this.
