April 15: The tax man cometh and he taketh away.

This year for the first time ever the state of Arizona owes me money. I’ll take it! Otherwise, like clockwork, I need to pay the Feds.

In Tucson, Café Terra Cotta which went out of business last year, used to have a $10.40 deal and I haven’t found any other local restaurant doing that.

On the national level, McCormick & Schmick has a limited $10.40 deal so check them out. I have a fondness for M&S, as my friend’s mom used to take us there every Thanksgiving when we all lived in L.A. after she decided she was no longer going to cook a turkey.

Also, nationally Starbucks is serving free coffee all day as long as you bring your own mug or to-go container. I like that!
