Tucson: Easter Dining Options and Passover Seder

Here’s what’s happening in Tucson at Tucson’s local and independently owned restaurants this Easter – April 4 and for Passover Seders at Elle on March 29 & 30.

Acacia at St. Philip’s

Acacia will serve an Easter brunch buffet complete with a selection of quick breads and pastries, salads, seafood and crepes.  You can also choose your favorite ingredients at the omelet bar. Brunch served from 10am-2pm; $48/adult, $24/children ages 5-12, children 4 and under are free.  Tax and gratuity not included.  Reservations are recommended.

Bluefin Seafood Bistro

Bluefin will serve their regular a la carte brunch menu, open from 11am-9pm.

Chad’s Steakhouse & Saloon

Chad’s is offering an Easter special of New York Strip with three jumbo Guaymas shrimp, finished off with a scoop of ice cream for dessert for $19.95, in addition to the regular menu.  The meal includes salad, beans and Chad’s famous cheesy bread. Hours are 11am-8pm. Reservations are recommended.

Cup Café

Cup Café will serve their regular menu in addition to some specials, including Prime Rib with Poached Eggs for $15 and Eggs Benedict for $8. They will be open regular business hours, 7am-10pm

Dakota Café

Dakota Café will be open on Easter Sunday for the first time in 22 years. They will be serving a traditional brunch with extra special desserts. Open from 10am -3pm

Delectables Restaurant and Catering

Delectables Restaurant and Catering will be offering a brunch menu from 10am – 9pm.

Elle, a wine country restaurant

Elle will be serving a buffet-style brunch with a wide variety of options. Brunch selections include: Freshly-carved prime rib, Pan-seared rainbow trout and an international cheese selection. Cost is $39/adults, $31/seniors, $12/children 12 and under. Adult and senior prices include a free glass of wine, mimosa or Bloody Mary. Tax and gratuity are not included. Hours are from 10am- 2:30pm. Reservations are recommended.

On March 29 and March 30 Elle will feature Seder dinner specials for  dine-in and take-out. Specials include matzo ball soup, chicken, salmon or lamb chops.  Take-home specials are 30% off.  Wine specials, kosher or otherwise are 50% off.  Elle  requests 24 hours advance notice for large orders.

El Parador

El Parador will offer its annual Easter Brunch featuring fresh fruits, breads, a meat carving station, create-your-own omelets and assorted desserts.  Cost is $22.95/adults, $12.95/children 5 to 10 years old. Hours are 9:30am – 2pm.   El Parador is accepting reservations.

Hungry Fox

In addition to their regular menu, Hungry Fox will feature a special with Baked Ham, AuGratin Potatoes, Green Beans, Pineapple Slice, homemade Bread and fresh homemade pie all for $9.95. Open regular hours 6:30am-2pm.

Jax Kitchen

Jax Kitchen will be serving their regular menu along with an optional 3-course chef’s menu for $35 (not including tax or gratuity). In addition Jax will also offer half price on all bottles of wine.  Hours are 5pm-9pm. Reservations are required.

Jonathan’s Cork

Jonathan’s Cork will be offering a few specials in addition to their regular menu.  The specials include: Oven poached salmon with a lemon caper butter sauce for $22 and a grilled lamb chop with a cranberry red wine sauce for $28. Dinner service begins at 4pm. Ask about the Easter lamb special. Reservations recommended.

Kingfisher, An American Grill

Kingfisher will serve the regular dinner menu as well as specials. Hours are 5pm-10pm.

Lodge on the Desert

Lodge on the Desert will be serving a lavish brunch buffet in the Lodge restaurant and on the patio.  The menu will include assorted baked goods, salads and cheeses.  A prime rib carving station and seafood will be offered.  Complimentary champagne is included and there will be special pricing on Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. The buffet also features an omelet station attended by the Easter Bunny. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 11am on the Palm Lawn. Cost is $49/person, $39/children aged 4-14 and children under 4 are complimentary; tax and gratuity not included. Brunch is served from 11am-3pm. Reservations recommended.

Mama Louisa’s Italian Restaurant

Maynards Market & Kitchen

Maynards will offer the regular menu with Easter features.  Dinner will be served from 4pm-10 pm. Reservations are recommended.

Pastiche Modern Eatery

In addition to the regular menu Pastiche will offer a handful of special menu items including prosciutto wrapped Red Bird® chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and pesto, chardonnay lemon cream, and chef’s vegetables for $19. Hours are 11am-8pm, reservations are recommended.

Roma Caffe

Roma Caffe will offer their regular menu along with specials to be announced by Chef Gino Marinelli. Brunch is served from 11am – 6pm.  Reservations are recommended.

Tohono Chul Tea Room will offer a buffet brunch featuring quick breads and scones and breakfast items such as: French toast, egg specials and meat entrees.  The chef will feature miniature assorted desserts.  Brunch is served in four separate seatings at 8am, 10am, 12pm and 2pm.  Cost is $22.95/ adults and $11.50/children under 10.

Hifalutin will be celebrating all weekend.  On Good Friday, April 2nd in addition to their regular menu they will feature a Cashew Crusted Halibut with Mushroom and Parmesan Risotto for $18.95 or fresh  Cedar Plank Salmon for $15.95.  On Easter Sunday they will offer the same delicious Halibut special as well as a Prime Rib dinner for $18.95.  Tax and gratuity additional for all specials. Open from 11am-9pm.
