This SUGAR FREE dessert is something on the healthier side and easy to make. I love making apple crisp year round, and this recipe is especially good for those who can not eat a lot of sugar.
I have tried different variations to the recipe by adding nuts, or other fruits as well, but it all depends on your preference.
-peeled and slice apples (cut depending on the size you want them)
-apple juice (frozen or fresh)
-sugar free graham crackers
To make this, you simply cut the apples and put them in a baking dish. Mix the cornstarch, butter, cinnamon, and crushed up graham crackers to make the crumb topping. Pour the apple juice over the apples in the dish so they do not get overcooked in the oven. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples and cook in the oven on 350 F for about an hour, or until the apples are tender.
For an extra special treat, serve with sugar free whipped topping or ice cream. Enjoy!!!
