Tucson restaurant news

On Monday, Jan. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. Tucson’s one named-wonder Janos Wilder hosts “Women of Bordeaux – Meet the Winemaker Wine Tasting Party.

Meet a half dozen women who make Bordeaux wine, ask them questions, pick their brains, sample the wines, munch on Janos-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and enjoy this casual informative rendezvous.

Men, of course, are welcome.

Now — here the cool part — if you mention the secret password “CataVinos”, you get a $10 discount.

How cool is that? I heard that directly from Yvonne Foucher, owner of CataVinos, Tucson’s most fun wine shoppe.

Reservations are advised, call 615-6100. The cost is $35 with the secret password and $45 without. It all happens at Janos restaurant on the grounds of the Westin La Paloma.
