People have been asking me about not eating cheese.
The good news, I’ve lost 5 pounds! The bad news, no bad news. I barely miss cheese.
It’s amazing to me that I lost 5 pounds just by giving up cheese. All things being equal — I’m still an exercise slug — but I have not eaten cheese.
The other night I cooked an amazing pasta sauce and thought — wow, this would really taste good with a sprinkling of freshly grated Parmesan, but of course, didn’t have any. Then I made a beautiful salad of greens + roasted root vegetables and thought — wow, this would taste so much better with a sprinkling of goat cheese, but of course, didn’t have any.
The food actually tasted really good cheese-less.
I went out for Italian food and didn’t put cheese on my food and ditto for Greek food. Hold the feta, please.
So now I’m pondering what I’m going to give up for February and whether or not I will welcome cheese back into my life.
