Energy Drinks and Fire Fighting Don’t Mix

Here’s an interesting article from the LA Times prohibiting fire fighters from drinking energy drinks while fight the fires.

Fire fighters are asked to drink water, water, water and lots of it to not become dehydrated and also to eat the high calorie, protein-rich food provided to keep up their energy and strength.

But to say NO to energy drinks.

    Do you know there are many nutrients found in energy drinks. You take an energy drink and feel invigorated and instantly alive enough to finish whatever late night work you need to do. Energy drinks are beverages that are meant to be a quick fix for the exhausted and sleepy.

    Energy drinks can be confused with sports drink but these are completely different.
