Julie & Julia, the movie
The movie Julie & Julia starring Amy Adams & Meryl Streep opens in Tucson on August 7 at these theatres. The movie’s premise is developed from the book based on the blog by Julie Powell who cooked her way through Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking and Julia Child’s autobiography. It’s an ambitious concept. I loved the book Julie & Julia (read the review).
I’ll be going to see the movie on Sunday with some foodie friends and then we’ll go out to lunch to discuss. I wonder if we’ll be craving boeuf bourguignon. I know I won’t be craving aspic but a little crepe Suzette might be nice. Restaurant glitterati was out for the movie’s premiere. Here’s the dish.
