Tucson restaurant news: Nimbus east, Italia closing, cooking class

Tucson restaurant news

Closing: Ristorante Italia
Ristorante Italia, a Metro restaurant, is closing a/o July 18.

Coming soon: Nimbus Brewery East
On July 20, what was once Ristorante Italia (and City Grill before that) will begin the transformation from restaurant to restaurant/brew pub when Nimbus Brewery and Metro Restaurant Group combine forces to feature a variety of fresh fare and affordable prices. The new location can never duplicate the giant warehouse brewery space found at the original 44th Street location, but promises to be accessible with a new patio/beer garden.

There is a brewery near the Tucson Mall (BJ Brewery), in the Foothills Mall (Thunder Canyon Brewery), on the southside (Nimbus Brewery), near 17th Street Market (Barrio Brewery), and soon to be the Eastside/northeast side (Nimbus 2). Am I forgetting any? Suddenly, I’m mighty thirsty.

Etc.
