Ohio Food & Wine Festival 2009
Check out Veggie U’s 7th annual Food & Wine Celebration to sample wines and the fabulous flavors of today’s most talented chefs in the elegant gardens of the Culinary Vegetable Institute on July 18 from 4 to 9 p.m.
It will be an evening to remember as three of television’s chefs (Fox Network’s Chef Paula DaSilva of Hell’s Kitchen, Bravo’s Top Chef contestant and producer Lee Ann Wong, and Food Network’s Chopped winner Chef James Briscione) compete for the coveted title at this year’s Star Chef Cook Off. This year’s Star Chef contestants will be judged by a panel of experts in the culinary industry.
Guests will enjoy an array of culinary delights from over 50 nationally renowned chefs from around the country. During the event that draws more than 1,000 guests annually, attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy wine tastings from top vineyards, participate in food and wine demonstrations by 14-year-old Chef Greg Grossman and Executive Chef Mike Wallace, book signings by chef/authors, bid on fabulous items in both silent and live auctions, and experience firsthand as these chefs go head to head at the annual Star Chef Cook Off.
All profits go to pay for Veggie U “Earth To Table™” science kits provided to 4th-grade classrooms in Ohio plus 24 other states. Veggie U, now in 1,800 4th grade classrooms nationwide is dedicated to changing children’s eating habits, one classroom at a time.
