Chewish Tucson: Savaya Coffee, Closing, Fun Lunch Hour

New: Savaya Coffee
I was in Williams Center today and noticed a new coffee joint called Savaya Coffee.  Savaya opened in April and is still a work in progress as far as design and décor but is roasting coffee daily and has limited service for about a half dozen drinks. Check it out!

Closing: VinTabla
VinTabla is closing soon; more information as it becomes available. Dove Mountain Grill (VinTabla’s newer Marana sister) remains open so you can still get your VinTabla fix. When it opened VinTabla raised Tucson’s wine bar status; many have come and gone since, and some remain.

Entertaining Lunch Hour
This sounds like a fun thing to do on your lunch hour downtown. On Wednesdays in May (20 and 27) join the “out to lunch theatre” at Beowuff Alley Theatre, 11 South 6th Avenue between Broadway and Congress, to see a new 30-minute play called, Twice Blessed.
Enjoy lunch at your seat while watching a new comedy about a man who wants to enjoy a quiet evening at home, but who keeps getting interrupted by the voices of his two wives.
Tickets cost $12 when you order a bag lunch prepared by CHRIS’ CAFÉ from Beowulf by 9 a.m. the day of performance. Choices are tuna salad, chicken salad. or veggie sandwiches with chips, drink. and dessert. Or bring in your own bag lunch and pay $6 for the performance only. The performance starts at 12:15. Order online or call 882-0555.
