For my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, we hold annual dances and events as a chapter. In the spring, we plan a Formal dance. This dance is not only the biggest social event of the year, but it is also the last event before the seniors become alumni. Since the event is such a big deal, planning the event takes a lot of work.
This year, my friend Megan was in charge of everything. Since I go to school at The University of Toledo, she decided to have the event on the Toledo Waterfront. Although most of Toledo is older and falling apart, the waterfront is beautiful. Since this is the case, the waterfront was the perfect spot for the event. On the waterfront, there is a strip of fancier restaurants with a gorgeous dock outside. So for our event, we chose to go to the Navy Bistro.
The Navy Bistro is a fancy restaurant with multiple food options and sides. When I first walked into the door, the restaurant lit up. There were chandeliers everywhere, gorgeous paintings, and things to make each room unique. Since we were a large group, we were given a party room. Instead of the room being plain, it was also very decorated with candles, and other table decorations.
Once we were seated, we were served drinks promptly. Then, came time for the food. The food was amazing. They had a large menu selection for a restaurant, but since we were a special party, they had three main choices. The choices were chicken, steak or pasta. Each option came with rolls, salad, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. Not only was the food tasty, but it had a wonderful presentation.
After the amazing dinner, we all made our way outside to the patio and docks. The scene on the water was so beautiful with the setting sun, the horizon, and the water blowing in the wind.
I give the Navy Bistro a 10!
