Another week, another Tucson restaurant and food news update
Coming Soon: Fat Greek 2— Who you calling fat? The Fat Greek on University Blvd will soon have a second location on Swan Road/Camp Lowell (perhaps in the failed Bajio Mexican restaurant?).
Volunteers needed on May 9-Help Stamp Out Hunger Campaign: Every year the National Association of Letter Carriers asks local families to leave non-perishable items by their mailbox for the Community Food Bank. Last year over 334,000 pounds was collected for Southern Arizona’s families in need.
This year volunteers are needed to help sort the food after the postal carriers bring it back to various post offices. Can you help?
Please consider leaving a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox on Saturday, May 9.
Celebrate Downtown on Thursday, April 16 in the courtyard at Maynards at the Historic Train Depot from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The fete is a help get Nina Trasoff re-elected party. A requested contribution of $20 is suggested and includes all the wine you can drink, mixed nuts, and cheese straws. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
Tax Day Deals happen April 15. When Terra Cotta was still open they would have some specials for the low price of $10.41. Savvy Savings blogspot has done some homework and came up with deals at Metro Restaurants, Cinnabon, and P.F. Chang.
