Where Local and Global Appetites Collide

Bahama Breeze

Bahama Breeze is a very nice Caribbean restaurant with multiple locations. It has moderately priced food for the most part, but some entrees can be on the expensive side. Last night, my boyfriend took me there for Valentine’s Day. I love the restaurant, along with others, so I expected it to be crowded, but this was insane! When I tried to call a week or so prior to the holiday, I found out they do not take reservations, so yesterday morning I woke up and called early to reserve my call ahead seating spot. So my boyfriend and I had call ahead seating for two at 7 pm. We arrived shortly before 7 pm to find out call ahead seating meant we had to wait still, but the wait was just shorter. So instead of having our nice dinner at 7, we were not even seated until AFTER 8:30 pm. When we talked to the managers though, we were informed it was still better to call ahead because the wait time for those who didn’t call was almost three hours. Yes, I understand it was Valentine’s Day and it is a very nice restaurant, but who would wait 3 hours for a table? Not me!!

So finally we sit down and order. After 15 minutes at least, we finally get water. Then, around 9:15 pm we realize the table that got sat 15 minutes after us already had their food, when we were just getting our appetizer. So finally the food came and it was good, but nothing spectacular.

So the bottom line is, Bahama Breeze is a very nice restaurant, but when going there for a busy holiday, it is probably not the best choice!

  1. Restaurants and florists love Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day but those are the two holidays with the absolutely worst restaurant service.

I recommend going out for VDay and MDay either the day before or the day after.
