Noshing Around: Tucson Baking Class – Jan 31

King Arthur Flour Company of Vermont is coming to Tucson on January 31 to offer free baking classes.

The King Arthur Flour Co. has been around since 1790. The company is employee-owned which piqued my interest. According to the press release, the classes are a “unique blend of baking science, tried and true tips, and culinary theater.”

The class is geared to people who suffer “baking anxiety”.

That would be me. My mother and grandmother were zealous bakers and I won’t even contemplate the act.

You can check it out as the classes are FREE.

The Tucson classes is Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Radisson Suites Hotel, Tucson Airport, 7051 S. Tucson Blvd.

11 a.m. – sweet & savory yeast breads

 3 p.m. – festive cookies and pies

Earlier in the week, there are classes in Flagstaff, Glendale, and Mesa, Ariz. and later in the year, other parts of the country.

The King Arthur Flour Co. also sells numerous baking supplies, pans, etc. online. Their catalog makes me hungry.
