Looks like everyone is getting into the party mood with the upcoming Obama Inauguration only a week away.

Today Dunkin’ Donuts introduced a sweet new way to celebrate the inauguration of the new president. During inaugural week, Dunkin’ Donuts customers can enjoy a special new “Stars & Stripes” donut, a frosted donut decorated with red, white and blue star-shaped sprinkles.

The new donut is available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts shops nationwide for the suggested retail price of $0.89 beginning Saturday, January 17 through Friday, January 23.

“The launch of a new administration and a new year creates a unique spirit of anticipation, excitement and optimism, particularly among the hard-working people who keep this country running each and every day,” said Frances Allen, Brand Marketing Officer for Dunkin’ Donuts. “We wanted to celebrate this special time with a donut, a beloved treat that any person can enjoy at an affordable price.”

Personally, I am ready for a little partying and look forward to watching it all on TV. This truly is a milestone in our nation’s history and I think we will be a stronger, more united country as a result.
