Kids have the coolest summer opportunities these days. When I was a kid, all I did was babysit my brother, read library books, play jacks and Candyland on the porch. (Ok, that was a long time ago.)
If your kids like to cook which now seems to be a national pasttime especially since Food TV is as popular as it is and you live near Manhattan Beach, Calif…well, you’re luck.
The South Bay School of Cooking will once again hold their highly popular summer cooking camps for kids. Â Each cooking class session is four days, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Did you know? Cooking and baking builds math skills. Completing simple to intermediate tasks enhances self-esteem. Children learn to taste and expand their food repetoire as well as cultural appreciation. The focus is on healthy, delicious food. Many children actively participate in meal planning, shopping, and cooking long after the class is over. Expose your children to positive experiences, how to safely use gadgets, and good eating habits.
