Who will reign supreme? Tune in this Sunday, November 11, as the remaining two chefs walk into the hallowed halls of Kitchen Stadium to complete their final test:

Attain Greatness

With the Chairman looking on and host Alton Brown (Iron Chef America) commentating from the side, the two finalists compete in a head-to-head final showdown by commencing in an official Iron Chef America battle. After a new panel of surprise guest judges evaluates their food, one of the chefs will be selected as the winner and become the new Iron Chef!
The Next Iron Chef took the contestants from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY to Europe with the help of international airline Lufthansa – to compete in the food fight of their professional lives.

Over the course of the show, the judges Michael Ruhlman (James Beard Foundation Award-winning author, cookbook author and food writer), Andrew Knowlton (Restaurant Editor of Bon Appetit magazine) and Donatella Arpaia (restaurateur and owner of acclaimed New York City restaurants davidburke&donatella and Anthos) ask the chefs to demonstrate a wide variety of skills to see who will become the last chef standing.

The winner will be revealed during the series finale on Sunday, November 11, at 9 pm ET/PT and will begin their reign as Iron Chef in a special Thanksgiving-themed episode of Iron Chef America on Sunday, November 18, 2007.

The Next Iron Chef is produced by Triage Entertainment in conjunction with Food Network and is based partially on the format Iron Chef owned by Fuji Television Network, Inc.

  1. Oh no, not new surpeise guest judges?
I love Michael Ruhlman! Andrew Knowlton can leave anytime. And Donatella, she’s one shatp cookie!
I bet the judges are some of the other chefs or at least the other Iron Chefs – Mario, Bobby, Cat Cora and Marimoto.

  2. Rita,
That is probably true that they bring back some of the failed chefs as judges. They would do that on that reality show with Donald Trump — I can’t remember what it was called.

So since you have been watching it every week — who are you going to put the money on?

Anyone else who has been watching and wants to chime in and why?

  3. Marie Nicholas, our new guest blogger, told me that she personally knows the chef from Cleveland. She’s new to blogging, but I’ll try to get her to post something.

  4. Symon rocks! As a fellow Clevelander, I know how amazing his cuisine is. What a genius! And he gave Cleveland a win to be proud of!!! Our baseball team (& football team) need(s) to take their cues from Chef Symon.
And he is so REAL, so unpretentious. And such an inspired palate!
Keep hitting the high notes, Chef & Mrs. Chef. We of Cleveland love you & salute you! God bless you, Lola/Lolita!

  5. Go Buckeyes Go!

    Awesome.

As a former Ohioan (Youngstown) — I’m proud as punch.

Next time I go back, I’m going to Lola/Lolita

Patty, Thanks so much for posting!

  6. This is late to the show but … on three different occasions, Food Network shows have featured John Besh and introduced him as “The Next Iron Chef” winner. Also, before the end of the show, Chef Besh was using the title on his advertising in New Orleans. So what happened? Is it possible that he decided after the winner was chosen but before the air date that he couldn’t meet the commitments of Iron Chef? The most recent example of the outing was on the re-broadcast of Challenge – Seafood which was held last year in New Orleans. Chef Besh was a judge. Does anyone have the skinny?
